INTERVIEW WITH OUR
JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGERS.

Psst: This could soon be your place at our dinner table!

Are you looking for an exciting, unique job?

To give you a small insight into working with your next employer, we conducted a short interview with our colleagues Janine and Anastasia.

What our two colleagues would like to tell potential applicants: Read the article, you can always say no afterwards 🙂

Briefly describe your background

J
Janine:
I originally studied Applied Media and Communication Science at TU Ilmenau. Both privately and during my studies, project management was always my great strength, and I enjoy working with people. Through a six-month internship in the event sector, it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to develop further in this field.
A
Anastasia.
I studied business administration at the University of Bayreuth, specializing in marketing. During and after my studies, I completed several internships in event management, including at PENTA. Alongside university, I also helped out at a campus location where concerts, parties, and jam sessions were regularly organized by students.

Briefly describe your activities and projects at PENTA

A
Anastasia.
My activities are very diverse, ranging from the preparation to the execution and follow-up of virtual, hybrid, and live events. I supported my team in various BMW events, such as virtual conferences or summits.
J
Janine:
At PENTA, I’ve been part of the Salesforce team from the beginning – we are very broadly positioned here and provide support in all areas, from virtual roundtables & recordings to hybrid formats and hopefully soon live events again.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

J
Janine:
My day is never the same, and unpredictable things often happen, which also makes the job so exciting – that’s why it’s difficult to answer. But my day always starts with a coffee in the morning.
A
Anastasia.
There is no typical workday for me; the only constant in my daily life is the commute. All projects and events differ from each other and thus bring new challenges. But that’s exactly what I love about the job.

What makes PENTA unique?

J
Janine:
THE TEAM – absolutely. We are a great crew, we rock many projects together, support each other, and there’s always plenty of fun!
A
Anastasia.
Definitely the working atmosphere! Nothing beats a good team! No matter how stressful it is for someone at the moment. Everyone always finds time to help or support others.

Do you have any tips for future applicants?

A
Anastasia.

You don’t necessarily need experience in the event sector to start with us. Even as a career changer, you have good chances. Because your soft skills and your character play the biggest role.

J
Janine:
Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not and try to be authentic. Be open to new things. You don’t have to fit into a mold with us, but you have to be willing to go the extra mile – it’s worth it!
